| | Synergia Northwest 2010 Benefit to Aid Northwest Youth Music Education Saturday, May 15, 7:30pm
Classical, contemporary and up-and-coming youth musicians - all with ties to the Northwest - will join for the Synergia Northwest 2010 debut concert on Saturday, May 15th at 7:30pm in The Historic Temple Theatre at Tacoma’s Landmark Convention Center; raising funds to provide extended learning, enrichment and performance opportunities to students who would not have the necessary financial resources.
The concert will feature a 46 piece chamber orchestra conducted by internationally recognized Dr. Nikolas Caoile, Director of Orchestras at Central Washington University. and comprised of some of the area’s finest professional classical musicians with selected players from Washington State All-State groups and regional youth and public school orchestras.
Special highlights of the event will include performances of the combined orchestra alongside of some of the Pacific Northwest’s most high profile rock recording artists including Grammy award-winning drummer Alan White (Yes, John Lennon), renowned guitarist Howard Leese (Heart, Paul Rogers Band, Bad Company), Grammy nominated Eugene, Oregon native Tracy Bonham (“Mother, Mother”) and visionary six-string violinist Geoffrey Castle. The event will be hosted by veteran Seattle radio broadcaster Marty Riemer and there will be a special performance by the Seattle Seahawks Blue Thunder Drum Corps.
